For its upcoming EarthSigth™ software, Look Up Geoscience is using the open-source platforms VTK and ParaView, renowned for their advanced capabilities in scientific data processing and visualization.
This choice was driven by their extensive existing features: the ability to load and visualize numerous scientific data formats, a client/server architecture, an integrated Python interpreter, and a plugin system.
This provides an excellent foundation for tackling a major challenge in the energy transition: making subsurface information accessible and intuitive to mitigate risks in exploration projects.
