Technical Manager

Did you know?
Before becoming a software developer, Nicolas was drawn to architecture. His career path now concentrates in his taste for construction, his creative spirit, his ability to imagine spaces and solve problems to improve people’s lives. Nicolas loves making things, assembling ideas to find useful solutions. He has deployed this deep interest by studying “Mathematics and Computer Science” at the University of Perpignan, then “Internet Technologies” at the University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour.
Nicolas loves inventing, but he’s also committed to sobriety – energy sobriety, digital sobriety… In fact, he’s keenly aware of the challenges of the 21st century, and has become involved in the fight against climate change, an awareness he’s acquired through his scientific readings. Valérie Masson Delmotte and Rodolphe Meyer, in particular, have fuelled his thinking and contributed to his personal and professional involvement in an eco-responsible approach.
During his time as Lead Developer at Ellis, his approach to environmental issues evolved from one of inevitable collapse to a more nuanced and rigorous understanding of the problems. He now values concrete, positive solutions.
In order to take part in the energy transition, Nicolas modifies and adapts his habits, adopts simple gestures and organizes Climate Frescoes… He is also taking up this challenge in his professional life as co-founder and technical manager of Look Up Geoscience, a company whose aim is to design an intuitive and accessible next-generation universal software platform. With Sébastien, Ehssan, Aloïse, Mariane, Fabien, Pierre and Lionel, he deploys his skills to:
Enhance the exploration and exploitation of low-carbon resources, such as geothermal energy and natural hydrogen;
Facilitate access to understanding of subsurface systems founded on diverse and sparse geoscientific data.
For fun, Nicolas is an avid rock climber. It’s a sport that suits him because it requires calm, concentration and, above all, mutual trust between the climber and the belayer.
When Nicolas leads the way, his partners can reach new heights!
