What a stroke of luck for Look Up Geoscience, Lionel has joined the startup!
With a doctorate in computer science from the Université de Strasbourg, Lionel used not only his analytical and synthesizing skills but also, and above all, his creativity to write his thesis. His approach was based on two pillars: openness and innovation.
Lionel has also held teaching/research positions, with a dual requirement: to continue training himself while training students, to pass on and learn at the same time. Here again, openness and sharing remain key points of reference for him.
His professional experiences have led him to work on simulation in the medical sector, then in the field of geology. Indeed, Lionel studies geometric modeling applied to the geosciences and the modeling of geological knowledge within the Geosiris company. He publishes research articles and carries out applied studies, notably developing a cloud-native geomodeling workflow platform.
Lionel is also a keen climber. When we ask him why, he replies: “Because I like the all-round nature of it, and the commitment it demands!
